The first mattresses began to appear in the 16th century, when straw was laid on a rigid base, covered with dense fabric and fixed with leather straps. Over time, the need for more comfortable sleep began to require a transformation in the appearance of the mattress. Instead of straps, the fabric was fixed with nails to a wooden base. To improve the comfort of the bed, they began to use additional layers of dense materials and wool, which gave its result.

In the 19th century, the mattress industry made a huge breakthrough, replacing the old filling of such products with metal springs. The surface of the berth has become much softer and more comfortable, the problem of knocking down the filler and pushing through the most used zones has disappeared.

Gradually, they began to develop blocks with independent springs, but the technology of placing the spring filling in a wooden frame base remained unchanged for a long time. The large weight of the mattress, the ability to use only one side of the product became the factors that contributed to the further development of the industry.

• multizone models - they have reinforced zones with a large number of springs to support those zones that bear the greatest load.

To choose a frame mattress, you need to consider where it will be placed:

• for an old bed, you can buy products on a wooden base;

• a version with a rigid base can also be placed on the sofa, which will ensure durable operation;

• for a bed with a rigid base, it is worth taking a Bonnel spring mattress or products with a block of independent springs;

• for people with heavy weight, products with a rigid base and a block of independent springs are also recommended;

• for summer cottages and temporary housing, mattresses with a wooden base and frame products with a spring block may be suitable.

When choosing a frame mattress, you need to decide where it will be located and who will sleep on it. The price category also plays an important role, so the choice must be made based on the possibilities. The most preferred filling is a block of independent springs, dependent metal structures will not last so long, and will not be so convenient in operation.
