A real Russian bath is not a place that people visit just to wash themselves. It involves a special ritual with numerous accessories and accessories, among which a bathrobe is not in the last place. To tell the truth, in our country, not all men perceive bathrobes unambiguously. Someone prefers a clean sheet, focusing on foreign traditions (Finnish, German), someone gets by with a large towel on their hips. The choice of each person is individual, but the popularity of bathrobes among our men is steadily growing.

Appointment

Men put on robes after taking a shower or bath, after visiting a bath or sauna to keep warm and quickly absorb moisture. In all cases a real robe will prevent a hot, relaxed person from quickly cooling and hypothermia, and high-quality hygroscopic material will not allow moisture to linger on the skin.

Models

Men's bathrobes for the most part have a loose fit like a kimono without fasteners with a deep wrap under the belt.

There are different models of bathrobes:

  • mini - provides knee length for use in the afternoons in the summer;
  • midi - length to mid-calf, versatile and most comfortable for both tall men and short ones;
  • maxi - a large warm ankle-length robe, often with a hood, in which you can comfortably wrap yourself up after going to the bathhouse in the cold season.

Pockets, discreet decor, collar shape, hood provide a variety of options for customers of different preferences and tastes.

Fabrics

Inexpensive options for models are sewn from synthetic fabrics, high quality and expensive ones from natural materials. Combined fabrics, which are composed of natural materials with a slight addition of synthetics, have the best properties.

The most common bathrobe for men is terry. It is a soft, warm, hygroscopic material, very elastic, made on the basis of cotton with the addition of bamboo or modal. Terry fabric can contain synthetic material acrylic or polyester.

In addition to terry, bathrobes for men are sewn from velor... The products look stylish and elegant, while remaining practical.

For luxury bathrobes are used materials similar in composition to high-quality terry, but for the production of such fabrics, long-fiber raw materials are carefully selected, which improves the softness of the products by an order of magnitude.

The high quality of such a robe will be "felt" at the moment of the first touch. This is a worthy option for an expensive gift for a significant event.

Colors

It must be admitted that in the modern design of men's wardrobe, not so much attention is paid to dressing gowns. Most often, men prefer strict "masculine" colors of a restrained range: brown, olive, gray, black, sometimes with a medium-sized pattern or check. Many people love the pure white natural color, which at all times was considered a sign of aristocracy.

Do not forget that pastel shades without a pattern retain their original color much longer than blue and purple. This is important if you plan to use your favorite item for as long as possible.

How to choose?

To make a man feel cozy and comfortable in a bathrobe, you need to choose the right product when buying. The main selection criteria are several indicators.

The size

It is enough to know the basic size of a person's clothing.The bathrobe is selected one size larger for a relaxed fit and maximum comfort.

Fabric structure

When choosing materials it is important to take into account their main features:

  • 100% cotton can be worn for a long time, does not cause allergies, but the fabric is heavy and gets some stiffness after washing;
  • cotton with bamboo has a bactericidal effect, excellent breathability and hygroscopicity, softness and silkiness;
  • cotton with modal (eucalyptus fiber) absorbs moisture well and retains its shape and color, but has a high cost;
  • Cotton with synthetics is softer and lighter than natural cotton, but hygroscopicity and thermal insulation properties are lower.

Pile height

A pile of about 5 mm is considered optimal. If the pile is lower, the product will absorb moisture worse, if higher, it will lose its shape faster and will last less.

Density of fabric

Varies within 280-840 g / sq. m, usually indicated on the label. For a men's bathrobe, the optimum density is closer to the maximum.

Coloration

The product should be painted evenly on both sides: both the front and the back. If the fabric is poorly dyed, the robe may shed.

Sewing quality

You should carefully inspect all seams, indents from the edge and the wrong side of the product.

Curved stitching, protruding loose threads, careless processing of the edges indicate the questionable quality of the product.

Price

It must be understood that a quality product cannot be cheap by definition. If it is offered to buy a dressing gown inexpensively, then you should think about it and refuse to buy in time.

The choice of a model must match its purpose, be appropriate for a specific age category and correspond to the season.

Bathrobes are often given to loved ones on a birthday, on a holiday or for no reason, to emphasize attention and endless care, to please a loved one. This is a universal gift for a close man - father, brother, husband, friend. You can order a personalized embroidery for a gift. In such a dressing gown, a man will feel comfortable and cozy to relax after water procedures, more fully to feel the joy of life in general and a good bath in particular.
