To date, interior designers have developed many styles suitable for hallway decoration. However, the most popular are minimalistic trends, one of which is hi-tech. It is worth talking in more detail about the features of this style for decorating the corridor.

Peculiarities

The design of the high-tech hallway is different functionality and asceticism... This is a modern trend, and it is suitable for both large and small corridors, although the concept of style implies an abundance of space.

Consider the main features of the high-tech direction:

  • complete absence or very small number of accessories;
  • compact furniture units without unnecessary fittings and congestion;
  • mostly cool shades of the walls;
  • an abundance of glass, gloss, cold shine;
  • modern lighting that allows all mirrored and steel surfaces to sparkle.

As for the color scheme, the most popular in hi-tech will be three colors: white, gray and black. They should be at the core.

Most likely, such a combination will seem uncomfortable, so designers recommend adding warm tones, for example, cream, milk, nutty and others. The silvery hallway will also look spectacular.

Finishing options

Most often, artificial materials are chosen for decorating a high-tech hallway. They should be modern and effective. In most cases, floors are tiled. This is not surprising: such a floor will be easy to clean. It is important that the ceramic tiles are uniform in color. You can also choose a laminate, but it must be of very good quality. Another option is a self-leveling floor, but this solution may seem too expensive to many.

It is best to paste over the walls with modern types of wallpaper - as an option, metallized canvases.

Wall-paper is selected monophonic, but one wall can be accentuated by placing material on it with a print that matches the concept of the style. If you don't like the wallpaper, there is another solution - paint. Even walls are covered with it, while the paint itself should be matte.

As for the ceiling, there are few options. Most common stretch ceiling, allowing you to place a lot of spotlights on it. In some cases, use and suspended, and metallized solutions.

Not a bad idea - a mirrored ceiling that perfectly suits hi-tech.

Selection and placement of furniture

Furniture to be placed in the corridor should be laconic... Hi-tech does not accept any massive headsets, voluminous dressing tables, cabinets with carved doors. Each piece of furniture should be as functional as possible.

A good solution is to get a compact headset... Its main part will be a wardrobe with frosted glass or mirrored doors. Please note that fittings and small cabinet elements must be metal. But it's even better if they are hidden. The wardrobe can be supplemented with shelves for shoes, a hanger, and other furniture with mirrored surfaces.

In the high-tech style, most attention is paid to functionality of furniture items, which means that items capable of performing two tasks at once will be appropriate in the corridor. For example, it can be an ottoman with a shelf for shoes at the bottom, as well as transformer shelves. A closed cabinet with shelves for accessories and small items on the sides would be a good idea.

You can put such a furniture unit both in the middle of the hallway and in the corner part.

A must-have element of a high-tech hallway is hanger... It can stand alone, in the corner, or be placed on the wall. Wall hooks you should choose metal or chrome. If there is a lot of space, then you can complement the interior with a small leather sofa. In addition, one should think about mirror... The role of a volumetric growth mirror can be played by a wardrobe door.

And also designers advise to purchase a group of mirrors of different sizes and place them on the wall.

As for the color scheme of furniture, most often it differs from the walls by one or two tones. For example, silvery walls can be complemented with light gray furniture. But in some cases it is possible to deviate from this rule. For example, white furniture with reflective surfaces is always appropriate. Small bright accents in furniture are also acceptable.

Here are a few colors that can serve as the most eye-catching highlights:

  • yellow;
  • Orange;
  • Red.

Having a tree in the setting is also a good idea.

Decor elements

As already noted, the amount of decor should be minimal. You can do without it, but in this case, the hallway can become uncomfortable. Unusual, unique accessories should be chosen for a high-tech corridor. Pictures and panels are a good option. They should depict abstractions characterized by clear, sharp lines. Macro photography will be very appropriate. If you could not find the right picture, you can limit yourself to posters. They can also depict abstractions. Drawings of cities and slogans are also acceptable. Many owners also like large images of animals.

Another interesting idea would be figurines and similar decorative items. All models should be surreal, emphasizing the concept of style. For the hallway, futuristic small figurines made of metal or painted plastic, large metal balls that can be put on a bedside table, small glass vases are suitable. Unusual watches, for example, in the style of space, will also be a good choice.

Like any other style, high-tech allows the use of live plants.

The colors of the accessories may be different, the main thing is that it matches the rest of the interior. If the entire hallway is designed in monochrome colors, then decor items can become bright accents. In the event that saturated colors are already traced in furniture, then accessories should be taken neutral, made of metal, glass or wood.

Lighting

In the corridors, windows are extremely rare, so there is always a need to install artificial lighting. There should be a lot of it in high-tech. Correctly selected light will expand the space, make shiny surfaces sparkle with colors.

Huge chandeliers should be discarded right away. - it completely contradicts the concept of style. A more interesting choice would be spotlights located around the perimeter of the ceiling. Inkjet models look especially beautiful.

However, ceiling lighting is not always sufficient.

Therefore, it is worth picking up other options:

  • lamps with brackets can be installed anywhere in the hallway, with their help, you can direct the flow of light anywhere;
  • spotlights they meet the high-tech style in the best possible way, but it is better to put them behind the decor items, otherwise the light may turn out to be too blinding;
  • small lamps can be mounted in a closet or on the sides of a mirror;
  • some lighting options mounted on the floor (spots);
  • will always be appropriate LED lights, but only cold white and silver tones are allowed here.

Interior examples

A high-tech entrance hall is always an interesting and extraordinary place. There are many options for finishing and decoration, as well as accessories that match the style. To be convinced of this, it is enough to consider a few photos with examples of such corridors.

  • A minimalistic black and white hallway with well-designed lighting. Its "highlight" is the complete absence of bright accents.
  • Beautiful corridor with a predominance of gray... There is a minimum of furniture here, and accessories are limited to wall posters.
